Another white limestone floor. This was a brand new install and had problems from the get go. The contractor did an awesome job installing it. But unfortunately the nature of white limestone floors are, you can see traffic areas right away. The matter the finish the more it tends to grab dirt and oils from your feet.

We have been trying different products and methods of honing to help surface of stone become more resistant while keeping and matte/satin finish. Every stone and floor is different and can have it own challenges.

We work hard to have great results.

This material will need an ongoing maintenance schedule, a little more than the other materials. But it’s a beautiful stone if properly maintained.

DRIVEWAY STAIN AND SEAL

This concrete driveway was integrally colored with this salmon pink color. There was a mix up with color codes.

Integral colored concrete is super expensive already. Especially when it’s the wrong color. The contractor tried to remedy by painting a concrete paint that immediately failed as soon as it was driven on. We had to strip off coating or paint in order to get to bare concrete. This also added to the cost.

We used a WB stain with heavy pigments to cover over the pinkish color. Fortunately the client wanted a dark walnut color and didn’t care about over saturation. The goal was to hide the pink.

HOTEL LOBBY STONE REFRESH

We were fortunate to get the opportunity to work on this project. These floors haven’t been properly maintained in years.

We were able to get floors deep cleaned. Then followed up by polishing steps to give that high sheen look. Then treated with a hydrophobic sealant.

No coatings or waxes were used.

QUARTZITE POOL DECK RESTORATION

This pool really needs a lot of work. At some point in the near future, this property is going to undergo a full renovation of It’s pool and pool deck.

Until then we have the privilege of restoring it every couple of years. This involves restorative cleaning tiles and cutting out and replacing weak or missing grout as needed throughout. (It’s a lot)

We also. Reattached about 60+ edge tiles that lifted from moisture and vegetation growing. Joint around pool coping was redone. And existing coping had a major face lift.

We met the deadline again of the pool closure and we’re able to throw in a few freebies

CONCRETE POOL COPING

We have the privilege of maintaining this pool for a wailea property. The existing coating on the coping was failing and was becoming very brittle. Not to mention didn’t look to good.

We restored pool deck quartzite tile. Removed and replaced joint filler material.

Next we stripped off existing coating on the with a specialized process which also added texture for slip resistance. We used a cementitious top coat as a base for our color stain, and then sealed with a WB matte finish acrylic.

This property in Wailea showed significant signs of wear over the years, including red dirt accumulation and tire marks. A restorative cleaning was conducted to restore it close to its original condition. Extensive grout replacement and repair were necessary. To protect the surface, we applied a specialized ceramic sealer.

Wailea Concrete Stain and Seal Refresher Project

This stamped concrete was stripped and stained and sealed with a brown semi-transparent water based stain color Timber. Protection with Increte system.

Marble Bathroom Countertop Polish Kihei, Maui

Countertops in the bathroom can take the brunt of makeup, cosmetics, lotions, sunblock, and hair products. Protecting them with regular sealing is recommended. This counter was in good condition and without stains. However, it was polished and sealed to remove years of wear.

Stone tip: Customers often ask if they can use a “product applied to the stone” to make it look better. Stone polishing is a process of machine buffing the surface with the correct types of diamond polishing pads, which brings the stone to a natural shine, rather than adding a product that changes the look. Generally, we don’t use or recommend waxes or other types of products to change the sheen on natural stone. When in doubt, ask a professional for stone care options.
