MARBLE SLIP TREATMENT

Wailea Maui , Hi

This property had just installed this beautiful marble. It just had one big problem. The guest were slipping and falling ever time it got wet.

After talking the situation over we came up with a solution, instead of slip treat the traditional way with topical coating with grit in it, which needs to be redone regularly. We decided to go with a process called bush hammering. This not only adds texture and lots of grip, but it really looks cool.

With some regular cleanings by staff, this non slip should perform for years to come

We also provide micro etching as a different solution for ceramic tile and some natural stone

In this case client didn’t think it was enough for this situation.

PORCELAIN LANAI, LAHAINA MAUI

This home in Launiupoko sub has a beautiful porcelain lanai. It had some moisture issues under tiles, which caused a lot of efflorescence and deterioration in grout. Also had areas where standing water collected from irrigation. We approached it with a good deep cleaning. We cut out all the floor grout and color matched new to original color. We also patched some of the edges where we suspect water from irrigation getting between substrate and tiles.

We sealed it up with some Dry Treat stain proof. Irrigation is diverted away from lanai. With proper maintenance this tile and grout lanai should last for many years.

Quartzite Lanai Kaanapali, Lahaina, Maui

Quartzite Lanai Kaanapali, Lahaina, Maui

Exterior flooring can take the worst of sun, salt, sand, and red dirt. A restorative cleaning was performed on this quartzite flagstone style tiled lanai flooring in Kaanapali, Maui. It looks fresh and bright after cleaning halfway through. When cleaning is done, the best of the best protection is always applied to prevent staining. Sealers aren’t intended to prevent dirt from building up, but they stop them from penetrating deep into the stone and permanently staining and discoloring the flooring.
